This standalone prototype currently reads Yahoo Finance website search/chart endpoints through public CORS proxy services because the Yahoo endpoints do not expose browser CORS. Those website endpoints are not treated here as a documented or licensed market-data API, and either Yahoo or a proxy can change or block access without notice.
The company name or ticker you enter is sent to the selected public proxy and the upstream data source. Do not enter private information.
For a production/public financial product, replace this route with a documented/licensed market-data provider and follow that provider's usage, attribution, delay and redistribution requirements.
Displayed values may be delayed, stale, incomplete, or unavailable. The market-data timestamp comes from the upstream response when supplied; the separate fetched timestamp only tells you when this page received it.
